Senator from the Labor Party, Gerardo Fernández Noroña, condemned the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and demanded his immediate release with life. In the message published at 8:10 AM Mexico time, Fernández Noroña described the operation carried out by the United States as a 'grave military aggression' that breaks the existing legal framework in the world. He stated that this creates a 'terrible precedent' and a 'threat to the great homeland', posing a danger of intervention in Colombia and Mexico. 'It is condemnable, unacceptable, and extremely serious,' he stated. The senator was spotted in the Italian city of Florence, in the Piazza del Duomo, in front of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. He appeared against a white wall, wearing a red jacket. Fernández Noroña has also defended his right to travel and to own movable and immovable property, stating that they are part of his regular income as a Mexican legislator.
