Venezuela's Vice President Delcy Rodríguez stated she does not know the whereabouts of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife following a U.S. military attack and demanded immediate proof of their life. Caracas authorities have declared a state of emergency.

In the last few hours, it became known that the Vice President of Venezuela and right-hand man of Maduro, Delcy Rodríguez, is not in Caracas and sent a message of solidarity from Moscow, Russia. On Saturday dawn, the Vice President of Venezuela stated that she does not know the whereabouts of dictator Nicolás Maduro and his wife, and demanded a 'proof of life' for both following the U.S. attack on the Caribbean country. 'Faced with this brutal situation and this brutal attack, we do not know the whereabouts of President Nicolás Maduro and the First Lady, Cilia Flores,' declared Rodríguez in an audio message transmitted on television. 'We demand from the government of President Donald Trump immediate proof of life of President Maduro and the First Lady,' indicated Rodríguez in the audio. The Vice President is first in the line of succession of the Venezuelan dictatorship. Rodríguez reiterated that the 'nation's comprehensive defense plans' remain active after the Maduro regime denounced a 'very serious military aggression' by the United States and declared a state of emergency. 'Maduro is not the President of Venezuela': Marco Rubio revived his statement after the dictator's fall. Meanwhile, the Minister of the Interior of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, shouted the slogan 'we will win' on Saturday after the U.S. bombings. 'It is not the first struggle, it is not the first battle against this people,' said Cabello in a message on state television. 'At the end of these attacks, we will win. Always loyal!'
