Cabello: Venezuela is not broken by fear and is ready for victory over the US

Diosdado Cabello, the ruling party's general secretary, stated that Venezuela is in a 'revolution, but not an unarmed one,' and predicted a 'great victory' over the US in response to their military deployment in the Caribbean, which he called 'psychological terrorism'.

Cabello: Venezuela is not broken by fear and is ready for victory over the US

«Every day is a threat. We continue to work, to enjoy ourselves, to do what we do every day in this country, but we remain vigilant. Because they think they will break us with fear. But they don't know us. What does that mean? (...) We cannot allow ourselves to be cornered by anyone,» expressed Cabello.

He also stated that it has been «four intense months of threats,» referring to the beginning of the military deployment in the Caribbean by the United States, a country he accused of exerting «psychological terrorism» against the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and against Venezuelans.

«Why do they do it? They don't know what we are made of,» he emphasized, who also serves as Minister of the Interior.

In this context, the number two in chavismo predicted a «great victory» against the United States, while warning that «whoever messes with Venezuela must be very clear that it will not be a 48-hour affair, of three days, it will not be a one-month affair».

«If they don't mess with us, perfect. The country does not stop. If they mess with us, we are there,» Cabello pointed out, who made those present swear their commitment to «ensure the defense» of Venezuela and «defeat imperialism».

On Friday, Maduro reiterated that the «threat and imperialist aggression» has been disproportionate, unnecessary, and illegal, «in light of the Charter of the United Nations and international law».

In addition, he asked the police forces to study, both theoretically and practically, everything related to «prolonged popular resistance» and also «all forms of popular armed, military, police struggle».

The Venezuelan ruler held that in each police institution in the country there must be a «permanent offensive plan».

The United States maintains a military deployment in the Caribbean, near the border with Venezuela, under the pretext of combating drug trafficking, but which Venezuela has denounced as a «threat» that seeks to provoke a change of government.
