President Maduro addressed the US people and called to stop "the crazy hand of whoever orders to carry a war to South America, to the Caribbean".
Caracas, Nov 15 (Xinhua) -- President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, today called for a permanent vigil and mobilization in the east of the country, in rejection of the announcement of military exercises by the United States and Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean.
"I call once again to all the people of the eastern states, from the south of Bolivar, Delta Amacuro, Monagas, Sucre, Anzoategui, Nueva Esparta, in perfect popular, military, police unity, to establish a vigil and a permanent march in the streets with the flag of Venezuela high," stated the president during a popular event in Petare, in the central Miranda state.
He explained that this is an instruction to all the country's social, political and forces not to fall into provocations.
Maduro made the call when informing that the Government of Trinidad and Tobago announced a new deployment of military exercises with the United States, "lending its waters in front of the coasts of the state of Sucre".
He criticized that the nation is used to threaten the peace of the region.
In this sense, he reiterated the call for mobilization "with patriotic fervor" to reject the aggressions.
Trinidad and Tobago announced on Friday that it would resume military maneuvers with the United States, which maintains a deployment in the Caribbean. This is the second joint training in less than a month.
