The National Central Bureau of Interpol in Panama has received confirmation from the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Caracas, Venezuela, of the apprehension of citizen Ali Zaki Hage Jalil, who is subject to a Red Notice at the request of the Superior Prosecutor's Office of the Metropolitan Area Section. He is accused of crimes against life and personal integrity, intentional homicide, and crimes against collective security, targeting transportation and communication means. According to this communication, the suspect was apprehended on November 6, 2025, on Margarita Island, Nueva Esparta state, Venezuela. This investigation is related to the explosion of Alas Chiricanas flight 901, which occurred on July 19, 1994, in Santa Isabel, Colón province. Coordination is being carried out with the International Affairs Prosecutor's Office to initiate extradition processes and have him handed over to the Panamanian authorities.
