The Brazil U20 team achieved an important 3-2 victory over Ecuador in a match valid for the fourth round of Group B of the South American championship. The match took place at the Misael Delgado Polideportivo Stadium in Venezuela.

The goals for Brazil were scored by Iago in the 25th minute, and a double by Deivid Washington in the 27th and 46th minutes, all in the first half. Ecuador scored through Allen Obando in the 31st minute of the second half and Kendry Paez from a penalty in the 39th minute.

Following this result, the team coached by Ramón Menezes positioned itself in third place in Group B, where the top three qualify for the final hexagonal. The victory puts Brazil in a favorable position to secure their place in the next round when they face Colombia in their final group stage match.

On the other hand, Ecuador still has the possibility of advancing to the hexagonal if they manage to win and Brazil loses against Colombia. To do this, they must defeat Argentina, the leader of Group B, in the next match.

The Brazilian youth team started the match by dominating opportunities and managed to score three goals in a span of two minutes. Washington was the protagonist by scoring twice, while Iago opened the scoring with a header from a corner.

Despite the advantage, Ecuador reacted in the second half and managed to close the gap with goals from Obando and Paez, the latter from the penalty spot. Despite the "Tri"'s efforts, they were unable to equalize the match and complicated their chances of advancing in the tournament.
