Venezuela Releases 225 Individuals from Detention

The authorities of Venezuela announced the release of a group of 225 people out of approximately 2400 people arrested after protests related to politics. Mainly these are individuals who were detained during peaceful protests and demonstrations. Initially, the country's prosecutor's office required to keep all detained individuals under custody, but as a result of the investigation it was decided to release the indicated persons, as they do not pose a threat to public safety.

"To prevent incidents of violence and avoid any provocations, it was decided to release this group of people, as they do not constitute a danger," - reported a representative of the General Prosecutor's Office.

Some of the arrested individuals still remain in custody while others await decisions on their cases.
