Venezuela Aligns with BRICS for Global Balance

The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reaffirmed his commitment to the principles of BRICS during a meeting with the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, in Kazan. Maduro thanked Putin for the invitation to the summit and emphasized that Venezuela is on the path of BRICS, considering that this meeting represents "a great message of hope to humanity."

Maduro highlighted the importance of continuing to receive Russian investment and strengthening trade between the two countries. Likewise, the Venezuelan vice president, Delcy Rodríguez, thanked Putin for supporting Venezuela in its approach to the BRICS group. Rodríguez pointed out that Venezuela, with its vast energy reserves, can significantly contribute to building a new international economic order alongside the BRICS countries.

Rodríguez emphasized that Venezuela's historical principles align with the values that inspire the bloc of emerging countries, highlighting the importance of working together for a world without hegemonies. Putin, for his part, reaffirmed his support for Venezuela to strengthen ties with BRICS and promote cooperation in various fields.

President Maduro stressed Venezuela's alignment with global equilibrium and its commitment to building a multipolar and multicultural world, in line with the vision of Simón Bolívar. Venezuela's participation in BRICS is seen as a step towards diversifying alliances and integrating into a broader geopolitical scenario, where cooperation and sustainable development are promoted.
