The daughter of Venezuelan leader María Corina Machado, Ana Corina Sosa, expressed her gratitude yesterday to the President of Panama, José Raúl Mulino, whom she described as "a key ally" for her mother and for Venezuela. This occurred in connection with the opposition leader's arrival in Oslo to receive the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize.

In greeting the Panamanian leader, Sosa stated: "This recognition fills me with joy and pride, especially at such a difficult moment that our country is going through".

"The entire world needs to pay attention to Venezuela, and we must make the will of the majority of Venezuelans, who want to live freely, heard," she added.

Sosa highlighted that Mulino has been "fundamental support not only for my mother, but for Venezuela," and in this context, she recalled that the Panamanian president recently received her "with open arms and with much affection at the Presidential Palace in Panama".

"We want to use this occasion to highlight the struggle that we Venezuelolans have been carrying on for 26 years, and for it to be a reminder that our cause is universal."
