Renewed Interest in Venezuela as an Investment Destination

Venezuela regains investor attention. Experts will discuss business challenges and opportunities in the country, analyzing the concept of a 'dual economic ecosystem'.

Renewed Interest in Venezuela as an Investment Destination

The renewed interest in Venezuela as an investment destination is the central theme of the roundtable “Venezuela: challenges, opportunities, and investment perspectives,” organized by La Prensa in collaboration with AV Securities and Hamilton Reserve Latam, against a backdrop of regional economic changes and new capital opportunities.

During the event, experts will analyze the challenges the country faces in achieving sustained economic growth, as well as business and investment opportunities in strategic sectors like energy.

The panel is composed of:

  • Eduardo Fortuny, director of Fortuny y Asociados, former vice president of BNH Casa de Bolsa, and a specialist in managing high-performance portfolios;
  • Oswaldo Felizzola, coordinator of the International Center for Energy and Environment at IESA, with a focus on the energy transition and decarbonization;
  • Antonino Ciulla, managing director and partner at AV Securities Inc., with over 20 years of experience in wealth management and investment strategies in Latin America.

The experts will address the concept of a “dual economic ecosystem”: on one hand, a rebound in GDP and opening to foreign investment; on the other, limitations in legal security, infrastructure, and regulatory clarity.
