Venezuelan Airlines Confirm Normal Operations After US Warning

Venezuela's Ministry of Transport reported on Monday that its authorities held a meeting with representatives of the main airlines operating in Venezuela to coordinate actions to ensure the normal operation of their flights. The meeting took place after a recent notification from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) warning of an increase in military activity in Venezuelan airspace, following which some flights were suspended. At the meeting, held at the headquarters of the National Institute of Civil Aviation (INAC), some airline representatives reaffirmed their continuity in the country and the normality of their operations. In this way, service providers agreed to convey confidence to users in the international context. Orlan Viloria, president of Laser Airlines, assured that his activities are developing without alterations. Cited by the Ministry of Transport, Serrano said that his passengers "can count on the continuity of operations." The sector's commitment to the Venezuelan market was reiterated by other airlines such as LATAM Airlines, TAP Air Portugal and Turpial Airlines. "Our intention is to continue offering a safe, timely and efficient service to all Venezuelans and foreigners," said Turpial Airlines representative Pedro Navarro. In this way, from Caracas it was stated that "the aviation authorities and the airline representatives are committed to continue working as a team to provide an excellent quality of service to all passengers, both national and international".
