A delegation of US envoys has arrived in Caracas as the two countries gradually resume bilateral relations that were severed by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in 2019. At the same time, the US President has offered India to buy oil from Venezuela and China to invest in Venezuelan oil. Doya wrote on X that she had arrived in Venezuela, adding, "My team and I are ready to work." Venezuelan Foreign Minister Ivan Gil stated that Doya's visit aims to "map out a roadmap on bilateral issues" and "resolve existing disagreements through diplomatic dialogue based on mutual understanding and international law".
