Maduro calls for an end to US intervention in Venezuela

The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, asked this Wednesday that the “illegal and brutal interventionism” of the United States over the country and the Caribbean region comes to an end.

In this sense, the head of state stated during a popular march in defense of sovereignty that “from Venezuela we say: enough of regime change policies, coups, and invasions in the world.”

“From Venezuela we ask and demand that the illegal and brutal interventionism of the United States government in Venezuela and Latin America cease,” Maduro insisted, who also thanked the American people for their protests against the aggressions against his country.

According to what Noticias Argentina learned through Xinhua, since last August, the United States has carried out a strong military deployment in the Caribbean area with the argument of fighting drug trafficking, an allegation that Venezuela has denounced as a threat that intends a government change.

Additionally, in the last few hours, two US combat aircraft entered Venezuelan airspace without authorization, which raised the level of tension between the two countries.
