Venezuelan authorities announced on Tuesday that President Nicolás Maduro has agreed to resume migrant repatriation flights.
This decision comes after negotiations between the Venezuelan government and international organizations. According to officials, the program aims to assist Venezuelans wishing to return to their home country from neighboring nations.
"We are working to create safe and organized routes for the return of our citizens," stated a government representative.
The first flights are scheduled to begin in the coming weeks and will cover major routes, including to Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador.
