Venezuelan People Reject Interventionism

The Venezuelan people reject interventionism. Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro stated on Wednesday that Venezuela has never been as militarily and institutionally prepared to defend peace in the face of the psychological war being waged by the United States, in parallel with its aggression via military means. «We have been strengthening ourselves in the face of the threat, 15 weeks after this escalation of psychological and military threats began, today we are stronger from a constitutional and institutional standpoint,» emphasized the head of state during his visit to the «General Rafael Urdaneta» Commune in the city of Cagua, Aragua state. During the event, the head of state signed the official certificate for Commune Number 4,000, on the way to the 6,000 built by the Bolivarian Revolution. «Today, militarily, Venezuela has a level of preparation that we have never had before,» pointed out the Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB). «To imperialism, we say, far from here, leave Venezuela alone,» expressed President Maduro, referring to the country's desire to work to prosper in peace. In this context, he highlighted that the event reflects «the level of direct and participatory democracy that the country has, and the strength of communal power». Likewise, the head of state denounced the false narrative of the fight against drug trafficking through which the United States seeks to justify an aggression against Venezuela: «since they cannot say that Maduro has weapons of mass destruction, since they cannot say that we have hidden biological and chemical weapons, since they cannot say that we are preparing a nuclear weapon, they invent an outlandish narrative, so false that it collapses and no one believes it, starting with the people of the United States». On the other hand, Maduro highlighted the civic-police-military unity and the military capabilities of Venezuela to face any external threat, emphasizing that the country is governed by the concept of a war of an entire people and active popular resistance for the comprehensive defense of sovereignty. Likewise, President Maduro highlighted that the National Popular Consultation is a constitutional tool that strengthens popular sovereignty and communal management as the axis of the Bolivarian model. In line with this, he recalled that «Venezuela has never, ever, neither today nor ever, threatened anyone». The «General Rafael Urdaneta» Commune, made up of 14 communal councils and five Bolívar-Chávez Battle Units (UBCH), brings together 12,406 inhabitants and represents a milestone in the construction of Popular Power. During his visit, the head of state inaugurated works financed and prioritized by the neighbors through the National Popular Consultation, including the rehabilitation and conditioning of the Integral Diagnostic Center (CDI) «La Segundera»; the provision of medical and technological equipment, including a new X-ray machine to strengthen comprehensive diagnosis; the acquisition of supplies for the Rafael Urdaneta maternity ward; the replacement of community facility roofs; and the rehabilitation of the Rómulo Gallegos Early Childhood Education Center (C.E.I.E.). The head of state stressed that these investments are a direct result of organized citizen participation: «The Popular Consultation is not a formality, it is the mechanism with which the people decide what they need, where and how it is invested». He emphasized that the nation's resources are optimized through this democratic model, which allows channeling community priorities into concrete projects.
